Oh I have just been so happy lately!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, its been a bit hectic.  Hunk of Math and I have been working on a lot of physics together which is good because I need all the help I can get.  Plus, I have all my other homework and tests to study for.  I've just been super busy lately but its all good.  I'm still extremely happy ^_^

Tomorrow there is a star party!!!! I freakin love bein an Astronomer in Training!!

The Boys

There is "Duck Boy", "Manners Man", "Coded Kid" and "Hunk of Math"

and none of them know each other.

Its weird though, I've always been able to make friends with boys easier than I have with girls.  Since all but "Coded Kid" are pre-missionary I'm going to be losing them for two years which doesn't seem fair to me since I've only had five months at max with them.  Heh, but I'm pretty proud of them.  I would be more sad if they didn't go.  Besides two years isn't that long.

*disclaimer:  I am in no way proclaiming my love for any of these boys.  Goodness, I am 19 and 3 of these boys are going on missions. calm your face.  Also, I have other friends and a few of them are boys.  These guys are the ones I hang out with on a fairly regular basis.*

Mr. Blue, You Did it Right

Oh its been a lovely day today!  the sun was shining, the birds were singing, I went and played with my flag, everyone was outside enjoying the sunshine and warmth!  Sundays are the best ever.  I love them, no matter what the weather is like.  But since it was so warm and clear today I might head out to a dark street tonight and look at the wonders of the night sky.  See some constellations, maybe a planet and the moon of course.  If I can convince someone to go with me that would be even better but you know...most people wouldn't find that very fun.
Oh wells.
I am super excited for when school gets out though because my parents are moving to a house in the country and it will be nice and dark in the evenings and it wont be dangerous to be out stargazing.  Maybe I can find a cheap telescope to and I can have my own little star parties!  That just fills me with all sorts of excitement, its making me want to squeal like a little girl.  *squeeeeee!*

You're Such a Nerd!

Tonight I am going to count stars!!!! Anyone else excited?  no?  alright then....
But yeah for my observing project I'm going to look at the sky through a tube and count how many stars I see and then do a little magical math.  I am super excited.  I love the stars and space so much.  There's just something about it that makes me so happy every time I'm around something to do with astronomy.  Last friday when we went up to the 4th floor of the ESC (Eyring Science Center) for the star party I was so happy just being near the planetarium and observatory and all the other astronomy classrooms with their posters of the moon and star maps.  I want to be in that world, with people who share my love for all this.  I wish I was further along in the program, then I could live and work around this stuff all the time.  Guess I gotta be patient.

Hey I haven't really talked much about physics lately.  Totally rocked my homework last night!  We just finished the wave unit and now we're talking about light and optics which is basically waves revisited right now.  Later on it won't be, but I'm reveling in the fairly easy work we're doing.  The test for last unit is going on right now and I am studying my little tushy off for it.  I need a much better score on this than my last test.  suffice it to say that I did not pass.  But! I am going to give myself plenty of time, bring snacks, pace myself and double/triple check all my work as well as make sure I actually have everything I need on my note card unlike last time.  I WILL get a good score on this test.  Just watch me.

When Will the Clouds Go Away?

Happy Birthday to my favorite sister ever (yesterday)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK so Friday turned out to be a really good day.  There was supposed to be a star party that night but it got canceled because it was too hazy to really see anything but then like half an hour later it was clear and I was super mad!  Anyway so me and my roommate just ended up walking around giving out the cookies we made for the party and then ended up at a friends house and played Settlers of Zarahemla.  It was really fun.

Yesterday being my sisters birthday we went up to Salt Lake and played around at the mall and went to the Clark Planetarium and then went to dinner.  Again super fun and my sis had a great birthday (hopefully).

that was my weekend.  woo.

Maybe a Full Moon?

Wow, feeling really bummed out. Oi, what is wrong with me? It was a beautiful day, my classes were awesome and I watched "The IT Crowd" which is super funny. In short, I had an awesome day but for some reason I am just super sad. I even skipped out on the big RS activity planned for today that I was really looking forward too. Hopefully I get happy by Saturday for my beautiful sisters birthday.
